Hello vintage lovers!! I have added another piece of Pyrex to my collection. It is an addiction now trying to find these out thrifting now! I have had a lot of luck with finding at least one piece a week since I started looking. It makes me wonder what all I have missed while not looking for it. This little beauty is a a-29 red hostess serving bowl, it has 4 little red bowls that went with it but sadly they were not there and I checked back the next couple of days with no luck. I can't be too upset about it cause I only paid 1.99 for this piece and I am sure at some point I will find its babies.

Goodwill Find.... pumpkin blinky flash light
Hello vintage lovers!! Today I have a Halloween goodwill find for you! I love me some vintage Halloween, of course Christmas will always be my favorite but I have decided (like it was hard for me) that if I see any type of vintage Halloween I will be buying it so I can start a collection of that too. I had tried to stay away but I can not any longer Hahahaha! I do have a few vintage blow molds but that is all till now. I previously showed a large candy bucket that I thrifted recently as well. Now I have found a blinky pumpkin flashlight! It does still work which is amazing and from my research I believe he is from the 60s. I only paid .99 for him at the goodwill and I love him!

Rummage Sale Find... mini hen on nest
Hello vintage lovers!! Got to some rummage sales last weekend by myself and found this little guy along with a few other things. This is a mini milk glass hen on a nest, it is marked with a T in a circle on the bottom. I do believe it is from the 50s but could not date it in my research. I saw this girl soon as I walked it, grabbed her up and put her in my bag to come home with me. She does have some small chips but is not broken or cracked. I have been looking for a mini girl to go with my full size ladies. The best part is she only cost me 1.00! It was a good thrifting day!

What's in the bag??? Salt and pepper shakers
Hello vintage lovers!! Another installment of what's in the bag from my epic rummage sales I went to a few weeks ago! In this bag we have salt and pepper shakers. Almost left these at the sale but I just could not put them down. Like I needed anymore salt and pepper shakers. I think the main reason I could not leave them is because I have gotten into pyrex here lately and the one set with black lids and gold around the top are pyrex but the other 2 sets are awesome too and for only $1 had to do it.

Salvation Army Find... Cory vacuum bird coffee pot
Hello vintage lovers!! Made a trip to Salvation army last week and found this lovely coffee pot. It was up on a top shelf and of course the green caught my eye. Then I saw the bird decal and knew it was coming home with me. My research has found this is a cory vacuum coffee pot for the 60s, it is missing at least one piece but I am not going to use it. Just going to display it, the color of the handle is pretty and the bird decal is so sweet. One like this sold recently on ebay but it had a yellow handle and all it's parts for $70 I only paid .79 for mine! It is a little dirty but will clean up great!

Christmas In September!! Ornaments and kits!
Hello vintage lovers!! It is Christmas in September, went to a rummage sale but only came home with these few Christmas items. I am trying to be more selective since I do have a rather large vintage Christmas collection already. Could not leave these guys there, there is something about sequins and glitter that I just can not say no to. Isn't that what Christmas decorations are about?
Got these two sequin ornament kits in a bag of craft supplies for 1.00
My son loves nut crackers so when I seen these two for .20 a piece I had to get them
Here are the sequins I was talking about these two church ornaments were .20 a piece

Goodwill Find..... large pumpkin candy bucket
Hello vintage lovers!! It is that time of the year, merrythanksmasoween time!! I love the fall and all the decorations that come with it. I seen this guy at the goodwill and had to bring him home to go with my Halloween blow molds! This is not as old as my blow molds but it is still at least early 80s/late 70s cause it has the metal brackets holding the handles instead of the plastic they use now. He is a bigger guy than most candy buckets, that is why I wanted to get him. He only cost 1.00!!

Pioneer Woman Haul... Teal pitcher rose shadow mixing bowl
Hello vintage lovers!! I really need to stay away from walmart.com.... They are having so many good sales cause they are making room for her new line to come out. I have found most of my items for under $10, I can not walk away from those kind of prices. As you can see I added a couple more items to my collection. One of these days I need to do a collection haul on here but it would take about 10 posts LOL!
This is the teal Adeline pitcher, I have seen this several times and thought it was so pretty but could not bring myself to by it but when it went on sale for 6.36 I could not pass it up. I am hoping it looks good with my Christmas items!
Finally got my hands on a batter bowl, this is the rose shadow print I do like this print a lot with the blue, yellow and green. Got this on sale for 9.82!

Salvation Army Find.... pyrex spring blossom butter dish
Hello vintage lovers!! Went to Salvation Army last week didn't get a lot but I did find this beauty! As you may know or can tell I am now collecting pyrex. Like I need another collection but it is what it is. I have been having pretty good luck (not like some I have seen) been finding at least a piece a week. Since my town is so small (2 thrift stores) with the nearest thrift store 30 min away I think luck has been on my side. I was looking for the butterprint but this spring blossom will do (considering I will probably collect them all at some point). Got this lovely lady for 2.89 and she is in very good condition, no breaks, cracks or chips and very clean. Also this has sentimental value to me cause my grandma had this same print butter dish out on her table, I always loved it when we would go visit her. I got my collecting gene from her for sure, I'm sure my husband is really happy about that. Glad I stopped in today, just has a feeling.

Restoring the beauty.... scooter doll
One of the hobbies I have besides thrifting is cleaning up dolls I find on my thrifting adventures. I do not collect or keep the dolls I just enjoy finding them and cleaning them up. I usually sell them or give them to my friends little girls. You would not believe the dolls I find when I am out.
This post is to show you how I clean the dolls, it is rather easy to do and it feels therapeutic to me for some reason. I will explain what all I use and what I do to get them clean. I will say that most of my routine came from watching a youtube channel called A thousand splendid dolls (link is provided), she is very informative and her tips are easy to follow and work out very well!
First off are the utensils you need for the job, dish soap (or shampoo body wash) to clean the body, conditioner for the hair, baking soda and tooth brush for harder to remove dirt, pet brush (with metal bristles), large tooth comb and a rat tail comb. I also have two towels (one for laying them on to comb the conditioner in their hair and one to help with drying the hair. I also use a large measuring cup for boil washing the hair but that is optional.
Today I am going to be restoring the beauty to this 1960s scooter doll (friend of skipper). I have a post on her if you are interested in where I found her and how much I paid. Her hair is really stiff and dry I am hoping to get it to soften up a little bit. Her body does not have any dark marks just some surface dirt, also want to get this poor girl clothed.
After I wash her body with the soap and scrub her with a little bit of baking soda I rinse the body off and wash the hair. I lay her on the towel and put conditioner on her hair (I let her set for about 5 min with the conditioner on). Then I comb her hair starting at the bottom and working my way to the top of the head. I let her set about 5 more min. with the condition in the hair.
Then I do the boil wash on her (I will tell you if you have a doll with curly hair and you do not want to loose the curl DO NOT BOIL WASH, most of the time it will make the hair straight as a board). To boil wash I put a 4 cup measuring cup full of water in the microwave for 3:00 then I dunk the head in a few times then let it set for about 5-10 min. After that I rinse the hair in the sink one more time to get the rest of the conditioner out then towel dry, comb/brush
I then set her out to dry, Her hair isn't super shiny but it is a lot softer than it was when I started. I could repeat the process a couple more times and her hair would probably get softer each time but I think she is fine like this.
Little lady turned out pretty nice I wanted to put her hair up in pigtails (which is her original style) but for some reason it did not look right. I think she looks cute in her dress with her hair down. Was super excited to get this girl cleaned up and clothed, poor thing had been naked and dirty for lord knows how long. Hope you enjoyed this new sub post I am starting. I am not going to only be doing dolls I am also going to be restoring the beauty to dishes, ceramics and other items I find thrifting.

These beauties are in pristine condition, they have no chips cracks or fading to the paint or decal. The best part is I got these for .20 a piece..... I can not believe how lucky I got!

Goodwill Haul.... Kitchen Kitch
Hello vintage lovers!! It is another goodwill haul that I picked up a few weeks ago. Can you believe I found this much stuff? This is all kitchen utensils or items. A couple of things came from the salvation army (which is my usual honey hole). There are a few reproductions in there too.
These are reproductions of condiment containers that I love, they are so cute. Only .29 a piece at goodwill.
Ice cream scoop with blue handle .99, cooper measuring spoons 1.00 for set both purchased at goodwill.
Glass measuring cup (pretty sure it is for measuring alcohol but you can measure any kind of liquid) .49 at salvation army. Parmesan cheese bottle (reproduction) 1.00 at goodwill.
This is a reproduction of an animal crackers tin from 1914, this was issued in 1976. I got it since they changed the packaging this year to the animals being free (which is a good idea). Thought it would be nice to have. It was only 1.00 at goodwill.
