Salvation Army Find-Wire Chicken Basket

     Hello vintage lovers!! Salvation army never disappoints I usually find some kind of treasure like this vintage chicken (or duck??) wire basket with ceramic eggs. Not too interested in the ceramic eggs but I love the basket. I seen someone on youtube thrift one similar and I thought that is really cute then guess what I found one of my own for only 2.99. She's a little dusty but that doesn't bother me I'll clean her up and she will look so cute in my kitchen decor. 

 

Salvation Army Find-Vogue Interlocking Floral Holder (Floral Frog) New In Box

     Hello vintage lovers!! Well would you look at that..... Ask and you shall receive, I had made a post recently with my glass flower frogs and said I had wanted to find the metal ones and here they are. New in the box, you get three different ones that can lock into a bigger oval shape (that is really neat). I almost looked over this but the box intrigued me so I took a peek, glad I did. They was asking 2.99  for them and I did not waste anytime putting them in my cart. I will say that these are really sharp so they will not be down for my son to get I got poked taking the pics..... 

 

Goodwill Find-Old New Stock Grants Sweater Guard

     Hello vintage lovers!! Made a trip to goodwill and found some interesting items one being this new old stock (the package is damaged but item is still on it) grants department store sweater guard. They had this priced for .99 and I grabbed it up I have a few sweater guards already but this one was really pretty pretty with the little pearls. Plus I am a sucker for anything that still has it's packaging, I did throw the package away cause I wasn't sure what was on it but I took a lot of pics to look back on. The card board backing has a ridged design on it that was so neat. 

 

Yard Sale Find-Fenton Painted Satin Custard Glass Bird

     Hello vintage lovers!! At the recent large yard sale with several sellers I found this pretty piece. I was surprised by the price because this ladies "booth" was pretty pricey not sure how this got past her but I only paid $3 for it and I almost ran to my car. It is a fenton satin custard glass bird figurine that was hand painted with little blue birds and I just love it!! I have a small collection of fenton birds and a couple other glass birds they are so pretty and brighten my room up so much. 

 

Yard Sale Find-Ceramic Girl Figures-Josef Original-Lefton

     Hello vintage lovers!! Went to a big yard sale with several sellers recently and got a good deal on these beauties. I got the little girl in the middle (she is a candle holder, her sticker has rubbed off but I believe she is lefton) for .50. Then I got the big josef originals girl with the hat and the pretty lady with her winter muff from a seller for $3! Of course the seller was telling me these were very old (I love it when people think I don't know about items when I buy them). I can't read the maker of the smaller lady but she is very pretty and I love these types of figures and for those prices who could say no. 

 

Salvation Army Find-A Collection of Glass Flower Frogs

     Hello vintage lovers!! Made a trip to salvation army a couple weeks ago and found my a collection of glass flower frogs. I have never seen any of these in the wild before so it was so strange to find a collection of them and the best part was they were only .49 a piece. That is a deal these little babies sell for a lot more than that online not to mention shipping since they are so heavy. I was really on the look out for the metal ones cause they can hold paper items but I could not say no to these for such a good price. 

 

Goodwill Find-Avon Jadeite Koi Fish Bottle

     Hello vintage lovers!! So excited to share one of my most amazing goodwill finds to date. I have been wanting this avon jadeite glass fish for a long time. I seen one at an antique store and did not get it and regretted it ever since. But if you have patience and wait long enough you may find that long awaited item. I was very lucky to find this at the goodwill for .99! As you can see it is a bit dirty but a little soap and some scrubbing and it turned out so nice (check out last pic). I really wish the tail was glass as well but it is plastic and that did not clean up as well but still looks better than it did.  

 

How I Display My Vintage Items-Necklaces and Pins

     Hello vintage lovers!! I have been gone for a while, this happens a lot plus I really do not find a lot of vintage items in my area anymore I have found some but this absence was because I got the dreaded covid. I was in my house for a whole month. It was the worst I felt ever in my life and it went into my lungs I did not have to go to the hospital but I did have to be on meds and it took longer to recover. I am not back to full swing yet but hey I am here and functioning for my kids. 

     I wanted to share how I display my vintage necklaces and pins that you have seen my collecting over the years I finally set them up right before I got sick. I bought the necklace stands off of ebay a year or more ago and had to cut a few to fit on the shelf. I do like how they turned out and am glad that my items are on display now instead of in a drawer. I think my favorite one it the first pic but the second pic is really close. If you go back in my posts you will see where and how much I paid for each piece. I don't have everything displayed but I have my favorites out finally.
