Estate Sale Find.... Pyrex Yellow Fridge Dish with Lid

Hello vintage lovers!! My grandmother and I went to two estate sales this weekend, so get ready for some estate sale find posts.... I was so excited to find this for $5 at the second sale, wish it would have had the other pieces to the set too but beggars can't be choosers. I have not found any pyrex in months around here and this is a piece I have been wanting. I have one of the small red dishes with the lid, now I only need one more red dish with lid and the blue rectangle dish with the lid to have the set. I only have $7 in the set so far, hoping to not have to spend more than $20 to complete the it, we shall see. These sell for over $50 online of course they have to be in good condition but even bad shape sets sell for $25 or more... This piece is in good used shape, it just needs a little cleaning and it will be great for disply. Glad to find a piece I really needed and at such a good price, not the hunt will continue for the other pieces!

Estate Sale Find.... clip on tea pot earrings and some jade

Hello vintage lovers!! This is a lost post I have these every now and then. I went to an estate sale about a month ago and got these beauties. I only found these but I was certainly ok with that. They were $1 for both pairs!! I love them both, cause of course I love jade (you have seen my jadeite collection) and the teapots are just so neat! I was very lucky to find these and very lucky I didn't lose them, they were in my purse in a pocket without a closure..... I thought about them this morning and went to get them out for pictures, found the jade ones and only 1 of the teapot!! I was so sad but then I noticed it was in the bottom of my purse, I got so lucky it didn't fall out, because I am sure I wouldn't find another set ever again like those. They will go on my earring holder with my other beauties!! I have a picture of my earring holder on here too, it is vintage like everything else.

Christmas in October.... All The Wrapping Paper...... ET Phone Home For Christmas...

Hello vintage lovers!! This is the last installment from my salvation army finds for this past week but I am sure there will be more. I was just thinking about how it would be nice to find some vintage wrapping paper to wrap my gifts with this year to put under the tree. Lo and behold my salvation army came through as usual. All of these packs was .50 a piece and the opened sheets was .50 for all. Some of this paper is too cute and you have to love the ET one!! I was not leaving that there LOL!! Of course back in the spring I had bought a package of smurf wrapping paper at a rummage sale for $1 and wouldn't you know it, I talked myself into donating it.... Now I could kick myself but that happens all the time...

Christmas in October... Snow globe-tray-bell-ornaments

Hello vintage lovers!! This is another installment from my salvation army finds this past week. I really should be ashamed of myself for buying so much Christmas items.... But I'm not.... Especially when you find awesome stuff like this........ We have Mr. Christmas ornaments .75 (these are made in Germany and very beautiful and yes I know I just purchased that other box but like I said I want all the ornaments), a caroler bell .69, a Santa snow globe .39 (half of the water has evaporated but I still love it). The best find was the Merry Christmas Santa and reindeer trinket tray, it is made by Houze Glass and was made in the 50s or 60s, I love it so much the graphics are amazing and it was only .69!! My salvation army does not disappoint on the vintage Christmas I can always find something...

Goodwill Find.... Pumpkin Blow Mold Flash Light #2

Hello vintage lovers!! I can't believe this isn't a Christmas post and I actually found a pumpkin in October. I do not have a lot of luck with Halloween decor around my area, there are a few things here or there but not a lot. This is a pumpkin blow mold flash light. I found this guy at goodwill for .50, not sure if he works still or not haven't got to try him yet. I have one of these already that I got last year at goodwill for .99. You can always use two I do have two boys so it makes since. If I can't use them to decorate we can use them to go trick or treating, my oldest would love it!

Christmas in October..... 2.59 box of ornaments!!!

Hello vintage lovers!! I am just going to let you know now, you are going to be bombarded by Christmas post (It is the most wonderful time of the year) because I went to salvation army today and I found quite a few Christmas items. The first one I am sharing is a box of ornaments I found for 2.59. I thought it was strange there was a humidifier box in the Christmas section so I checked it out and found these ornaments. I was like yes please I want all the ornaments (I have 3 totes full but I want them all). There are more than what you see here but I do limit myself some (I know it doesn't show) and if it is plain I do not buy it. So I will be re donating all the plain ornaments back to them. I am sure someone else will love those. My favorites was the Merry Christmas with Santa on them, those were worth the 2.59 to me. There is a friend for the elf pinecone sachet and some plastic bulbs that look like shiny brites I can use on my tree this year! I was very happy with my find even if I can't use them anytime soon.

Christmas in October... .99 box of Angels and a Nativity

Hello vintage lovers!! Ran by my local salvation army this past week and it did not disappoint (it usually doesn't). I found this whole box of vintage Christmas angel topper/ornaments for .99. I am not sure if they meant to put something in front of the .99 but I wasn't asking..... There are some real beauties in this lot. There was also the plastic nativity and some birds (I gave the birds to the cashier, she had been looking for some and let me have the box for that price, I wasn't going to do anything with them anyways). I also picked up the Santa in the last pic for .59, love my Santa's!

Yard Sale Find... .25 Aprons...

Hello vintage lovers!! This yard sale that was actually an estate sale just keeps on giving. In front of the house laid across the fence was a ton of aprons with a sign that said .25 a piece. Of course you know I had to look through them all and get like 6 of them..... I could not help it, you see how cute these are and the Christmas ones only come out for a month or so. There are a couple that have stains but that gives it character, these were used in a 50s/60s kitchen to prepare meals for a family. The previous owner must have worn one everyday cause there was at least 20 or more. I got the cutest ones of the bunch and was super happy with what I picked out, I am going to hang these in my kitchen and change them out every so often, of course the Christmas ones are first up on my list!

Yard Sale Finds... .50 Pyrex and a Bee

Hello vintage lovers!! Trying to get to as many sales as possible since they start to wind down at this time of year. We have our big yard sale this weekend that usually marks the end of the yard sale season. I am super excited to go to those sales, there is always some great vintage items at these sales. I found these two items at the same sale that was said to be a yard sale but was an estate sale. I already have the small blue primary bowl (was wondering where the rest of the set was cause I need the green and yellow to complete my set, boo hoo... of course the sale was on friday to but I did not go, so they may have been there 🤔) but I got it anyway, you can always use more than one primary bowl, right? I also picked up this cute ceramic bee salt cellar, it is missing it's spoon (they look like little stingers on the behind lol) but this is too cute. Both of these items was .50 a piece, they had really good prices on all the items, wish I had gone up on friday but my loss for being lazy..... Can you believe I got pyrex for .50!!! That's why I couldn't leave it.

Yard Sale Find... Napco Pancake/Waffle Set

Hello vintage lovers!! Got to a couple yard sales this past weekend, they are winding down in my area but found some really neat items. At a yard sale that was really an estate sale I found this Napco pancake/waffle set. It has the batter pitcher, the butter pitcher and the syrup pitcher, these were made in 1963 and I just love the graphics on them. The set is in really great condition, it does have some crazing but I like that. This caught my eye soon as I got to the sale, I actually wasn't going to buy it but I knew if not I'd regret it. The whole set was only $3 and it is going to look so cute in my kitchen on top of my cabinets!

Goodwill Find.... Los Angeles Pottery Co. Cookies all over-Cookie jar

Hello vintage lovers!! I had just been in the goodwill the day before yesterday but decided I wanted to stop by again just to check for anything new and boy was I so glad I did. Most of the time when I do that it usually pays off. I found one of the holy grail vintage items for a lot of people. The Los Angeles Pottery Co. Cookies all over-Cookie jar. I could not believe it! A little back story on the jar.....
Los Angeles Pottery: Cookies All Over. This jar is a mirror image almost of the really popular NAPCO jar. The only difference between this jar and the Napco Cookies All Over jar is the lid; to avoid copyright infringements, LA Pottery did not put any cookies on the lid of their jar like the Napco jar has. They just have the walnut finial “knob” & the lid is otherwise plain. This cookie jar was released in 1955.
This one I found at my goodwill is in very good condition. It does not have any cracks or chips and the paint is vibrant, it does have hair line crazing but what can you expect from something that is 64 years old?? I can not believe it is in as good of shape as it is. I found this gem for 4.99!! A little lady I see in there a lot said, "oh that is pretty I seen it but they want 4.99, that is too much" LOL she must now know that these sell for close to $100 online. I got very lucky and can not wait to find a place to put this beauty in my kitchen.

Christmas in October..... Elf-Pinecone Ornament

Hello vintage lovers!! It's Christmas in October (again) I hope you enjoy vintage Christmas as much as I do. This little guy came from the salvation army and was only .29! He is an elf setting in a pinecone with his harp (?) and his pinecone happens to be a potpourri sachet. There is something rattling in mine but my bottom is stuck, not sure I want to know what is in a 60 year old ornament anyways. He is too cute for words and will be on my tree this Christmas season. You know how much I LOVE my elves!!
