Hello vintage lovers!! Went to a flea market last weekend with my mom and found some pretty awesome things. One guys booth was nothing but vintage pyrex and jadeite, he has some beautiful things. Of course I couldn't afford most of them but I did pick up these 2 items. A vintage fire king jane ray saucer for $5 and a fire king 2000 bowl for $15. They need to be cleaned but other than that they are in good condition (the bowl has some chips around the rim but it is fine for display). Thought the prices was pretty good for these items and I can always use more jadeite!

Goodwill Find... Smoke Carnival Glass Fruit Bowl
Hello vintage lovers!! Ran by goodwill the other day and came home with this beauty for only 2.99. I love the look of carnival glass, I did research on this piece but could not find a maker. I know it is a quality piece because it is so heavy and the paint does not chip off. I have passed up other pieces of carnival glass because I have no room for it but this piece I could not leave behind. I will pack it up and wait till I get a bigger house (spoken like a true hoarder 🤷♀️). I have a pedestal candy dish as well but it is green this piece is a smoky grey color. I love all carnival glass (anything colorful and shiny is up my alley) so I do not discriminate when I find it. I passed up an orange pitcher last summer that I am kicking myself about now. I am sure there will be more pieces in my future but for now this one will do just fine.

Goodwill Find... 1949 Cootie Game
Hello vintage lovers!! Ran by goodwill today to kill sometime before a lunch date with a friend and found this gem. Usually when I just run in goodwill for a few min. I end up finding some cool things. It's like if I go in there and have a lot of time I find nothing. As stated before I am being very selective when it comes to my purchases now but when I seen this I knew it was coming home with me. I have a thing for vintage toys memorabilia I can't help it 🤷♀️
This is the 1949 version of the cootie game, I think this is the first version that was made. I only paid $2 for it and the only thing it is missing is the dice and 1 antenae. Not bad for a game that is ummmm 71 years old 😮 The box has seen better days, I had to tape the corners but the graphics are pretty good. The play pieces are in great shape too, they are not broken and the colors are vibrant. All in all this game is in great condition for it's age. It just shows how well made items were, now a days you buy something and within 6 months or less you are throwing it away cause it has broken.
Not sure how I am going to display it yet but all I know is I'm happy to have found it. This is the type of stuff that makes me love the hunt and makes me want to go out to the thrift stores/yard sales every week. I mean who would have ever thought I would find a 70 year old game at the goodwill??

Goodwill Find.... White/Blue Floral Cow Salt and Pepper Shakers..
Hello vintage lovers!! It has been a while, but like I said in the new year I am being way more selective of what I buy so this is the first vintage items that have been purchased in 2020. I found these little ladies at the goodwill for .99 a piece I loved them so much they had to come home with me. I have found them online but with no specific brand name, so they must have been generic made back in the 60s. I did not realize at the time one of them has a mended leg I do not like to purchase items that have been broken but I guess since these were the first items I had found so far I was too excited to notice. When displayed you can't tell, I think these are going to look so cute with my other vintage salt and peppers.
