Hello vintage lovers!! I haven't found a lot of good vintage finds the past few weeks. I am trying to be more selective of what I buy. I was bringing a lot of items into my house with no real purpose other than it was vintage. Also I will admit there hasn't been a lot of things I'm interested in anyways. There will always be the thrill of the hunt for me, I love finding an item that I have been searching for or that I think is amazing. Whether it be a piece of pyrex, jadeite or christmas decor it is an awesome feeling. Of course I get that thrill whenever I find anything that I think is cool 🤣
Since I am on a budget most of the time I can not afford to buy sets of items so I have been trying to hunt down certain pieces to complete my sets. I have pieced together two sets of pyrex so far and am very excited about that. I am working on a few sets of jadeite as well but those are a lot harder to find for a reasonable price. I will be doing a few posts on the sets that have been completed very soon. I live in a very small town/rural area so it is a little harder for me to find great items but I have done ok so far. I did have to finally break down and order a few things off line, which I am not happy about but if I wanted the pieces I had to make that decision.
When you buy off line it does take away from the thrill of the hunt but when you have been looking for items for over a year with no luck, sometimes you have to do it. I still have some good moments in the wild with my finds. Sorry this post is kind of all over the place and choppy my kids are home and the noise if off the charts LOL, can not hear myself think much less write a good blog... Hoping to get some stuff up soon, the kids are out of school again for a couple of days. They just went back two weeks ago and then there was some winter weather, now a holiday and parent teacher conference. They might as well not even go to school in January 🤷♀️

Goodwill Find... 1969 Fisher Price Mini Bus with People and Dog
Hello vintage lovers!! The holidays hit hard as usual so we will just skip all that and get into the find. Stopped by goodwill a week or so ago and found this beaut on the front counter. It was in a bag all by itself with a $5 price sticker. I was happy to pay the $5 was a little sad it didn't have the little girl person but it did have the dog and he is a cutie! I know these aren't that desirable for worth a ton but I love it anyways. I have found the bus a few times but no people so I think this was an awesome find (plus now the girl gives me something else to search for, like I need anything else but oh well). The only thing I can't figure out is why is it a bus and not a van 🤔 Hope you enjoyed the find and will come back to see what else I get into, trying to be a bit more selective when it comes to the items I buy. Not sure if I will have a lot of posts but I will definitely post when I get any vintage goodness!

Well.... A New Year's Update??
Hello vintage lovers!! As you can tell I did not finish the countdown to Christmas.... I was disappointed but as I have said before, life happens. I have a lot that goes on behind the scenes that I do not post on this blog. I try to keep this about vintage items only, but I did want to say that if I go missing for a while know that it is because of my life outside of the vintage/thrifting world. There was a lot of things I wanted to post in the month of December but it just was not in the cards this year (maybe next year???). I do have two school age boys so that is always a challenge especially when they are out of school for holidays. They have been home for two weeks now so I have not got much done other than clean up after and take care of them.
I wanted to pop on here to say hello and Happy New Year!! Also wanted to let you know that I will be doing more blogs within the next couple of weeks. I have a back log of finds that I want to get posted but have to get the time to take pics. But of course first off I have to get my house back in order and my Christmas stuff stored away for the next year. I am always so sad to pack my stuff away but you can't keep it up all year (or can you???). There may not be a blog everyday because it is winter time in my area so no yard sales only thrift stores and since there are only two in my area (well really three but the one doesn't get a lot of new stuff in) and they do not get a lot of vintage items, this time of year can be sparse. I think last year I didn't post for the first six months of the year. I am hoping to not do that this year but you just never know. Hope the New Year finds you well and here's to finding some great stuff in 2020!
