Yard Sale Find.... a gift from my grandma mini pink hon

Hello vintage lovers!! Long time no blog 😏 I fell behind a little bit, you know life happens. I am trying to get caught back up. Thought I would share a yard sale find that was given to me by my grandma. She retired this year so her and I have been going to yard sales on Fridays together and spend quality time together. I have really enjoyed it, we enjoy the same things and love looking for our finds together. She snuck this one by me I didn't even see it!! It is a mini hen on a nest salt cellar ❤ I love her! She is a pretty light pink translucent color and since she was a gift from my grandma it means so much more ❤  She blends in so amazing with my other vintage gems in my kitchen!

Christmas in October.... snowman blow mold

Hello vintage lovers!! Went to some yard sales last weekend and found this cute guy for .25!! He doesn't have his cord but that is an easy fix. He is marked 1968 on his back and has some cosmetic issues but we love him. I say we because my little boy (he's 4) likes to carry him around 😍 I will be using him in my Christmas decor on my covered porch, hope to get some pics when I get it decorated!

Goodwill Find... table runners and dollies

Hello vintage lovers!! Today I have a few items from goodwill to share. I have always been partial to vintage linens, I think they are beautiful. So when I found these gems for .50 a set at goodwill I had to snatch them up. I want to use the gold and white for Christmas and the cream/orange will be good now. Of course the yellow flower will be good at springtime. My favorite has to be the embroidered runner with the vintage lace trim. Of course I really didn't need any of these but yet I got them.

Salvation Army Find.... wax fruit

Hello vintage lovers!! Stopped in at my salvation army to see what they got in. Found a couple of items including this set of wax fruit, I believe it is from the 50s. They are in good condition only a few dings, not bad for their age. I paid .99 for the whole set.

Goodwill Find.... federal green depression glass sundae/server cups

Hello vintage lovers!! Stopped by goodwill last week and was not disappointed. Found these 1930's Federal green depression/vaseline glass sundae/sorbet footed cups. I love green glass and could not believe I found these, they were only .20 a piece!!! I was over the moon to find them. It says online they glow under black light but I have no way to test that. I just think they are so pretty with the swirl design and the color of them. I got 7 of them (only showing 3) not bad for 1.40.

What's in the bag??? .75 bag of magnets

Hello vintage lovers!! Went to salvation army earlier this week and found my a bag of random magnets for .75. I saw some vintage one in there so I had to pick it up. I love my bags of random items so fun to look through and see what you got. I do love me some vintage magnets. My whole fridge is going to be full of them before it is done, like the rest of my house at capacity 🙄

Goodwill Find..... chalkware fish

Hello vintage lovers!! Went to the goodwill last week (a few times) and found this adorable set. It is a chalkware momma fish with her 2 babies, they have all their hangers and are in good condition (except poor momma has a little dent in her). I only paid 1.99 for the set of 3, I almost left them but the momma's face is so sweet I couldn't. Guess I am starting a new collection 🙄

Salvation Army Find.... Indiana glass green vaseline glass tea room set

Hello vintage lovers!! Today I am doing a Salvation army find, and it is an amazing one. I found these Indiana Glass green vaseline glass tea room set, with the tray, creamer and open sugar bowl. I love any kind of vintage green glass it is so pretty but when I seen these guys I had to have them. The whole set was only 6.99,  well worth it cause online these are going for at least $40 with shipping. Of course now I want all of the Indiana Glass tea room collection, it is so pretty!

Salvation Army Find... milk glass and brass candle holders

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is a salvation army find, I stopped in last week and this is all I came home with but that is not a bad thing. Found these hob nail milk glass/brass candle stick holders. These were only .89 a piece, surprising since my salvation army has decided to go up on their prices 🙄 These are a little worse for the wear, I am researching how to clean brass to shine these up a bit. Still with their flaws I think they were a good deal.

My vintage thrifting wish list... Number 2....

Hello vintage lovers!! I thought it might be fun to do a vintage wish list #2 for you. Even though I just recently did a post about when is it too much. Guess it is never too much 🤣 (uh oh I have found the emoji button). Here are a few of the items that I am really on the look out for when thrifting.

-The elusive hazel atlas pineapple jam jar
-The mini bowls to the pyrex hostess set in red
-Hen on nests (any size color or animal)
-Jadeite juicer
-butterprint pyrex
-kitchen tools
-dooney purses (from early 80s/late 70s)
-pyrex butter dishes

I am sure at some point I will be adding more to my list. You just never know what you are looking for at any given time. I go to thrift stores or yard sales and stumble upon items I didn't even know I wanted or "needed". That is the thrill of the hunt, that is why I love doing what I do, finding that one piece that you never knew existed. That is why my house if full of boxes 🤔 (enjoy all the emojis coming your way).

Goodwill Find... milk glass hen on nest

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is a goodwill find, went to a goodwill a few miles away from me and it paid off. I got this milk glass hen on a nest for only 3.99. I am not sure if she is a "frankenstein" set or not. Her lid fits ok but you can see a bit of a gap and it is plain on bottom (doesn't look like a nest). The glass looks more like a marble white on top and the bottom is more of a milky white on the bottom. Also it says made in usa on bottom, in my research I can not find one that looks exactly like it. Doesn't matter to me I love her anyways!

Goodwill Find... glass juicer

Hello vintage lovers!! Today I have a goodwill find for you, I have been wanting one of these glass juicers for a while now. I really wanted a jadeite or green depression glass but since I have not had any luck with that I decided to get this beauty. It was only 1.99 and will fit in perfect with my other vintage kitchen decor. Maybe one day I will be able to find my jadeite one.

Pioneer Woman Haul... plates and napkins

Hello vintage lovers!! It's another pioneer woman haul! This one is a bit interesting, I found a set of my items at a church rummage sale. It is not common for me to find pioneer woman thrifting especially at a yard sale. I have found a few things at the goodwill. I was excited to see that she made wash cloths I was wondering when she would do that. They are part of her new fall line (which looks more summer to me than fall but to each their own).

Got 4 of these salad plates in the spring bouquet print for $3 at a church rummage sale. You can still get these in store for 4.98. So I was super excited to find these!
Was so glad to see that pioneer woman finally came out with some wash clothes, while I haven't used them yet. They are nice quality and thick so I think they will be good. I paid 5.46 for each 4 pack set.

When is it too much??

Hello vintage lovers!!  I love thrifting, as I am sure you can tell... But sometimes I do wonder, when is it too much? I love the thrill of the hunt and finding things at great prices. It is always an adrenaline rush to find that item you have been wanting for so long but lately I have been finding that I buy just to say I have it. Which is not ok, if you don't have the space to display all of your finds and they are just left in a box is it really worth it then?
Don't get me wrong the reason I buy the items I do is because when I look at them I love them and it brings me joy. Just wish I had somewhere to display all my goodies but at this time it is not possible. I also would enjoy reselling some items too but my local antique mall has shut down, and the shipping of breakable items thing scares me.
I keep saying that I need to be more selective with what I buy and I will say that has been happening here lately. There is always that one item you get cause it is desirable and people want it, so you should want it right? I think there is a word for that but forgot what it is. In a perfect world I could keep what I love and sell what I think is neat but doesn't have a place with me.
Also I need to stay away from thrift stores and goodwills, it is getting to be the end of yard sale season which is good and bad. It is good cause I need to get away from the temptation but also bad cause I do love it so much. Guess only time will tell if it is too much, all I can do it try to scale it back and see where it goes. All I know is it gives me joy and I may be living in a house made of card board boxes......

Church Sale Find... doily's and napkins

Hello vintage lovers!! I went to a church sale last week and found some great items. Some of the items I found were these linens I do believe they are all vintage (I am on the fence about the napkins with the red stitching). Hard to believe someone donated these to be sold but it was for a good cause.
These doily's were .25 a piece
This place mat and 2 napkins were .25 for the set
These three napkins were .25 for the set
These 4 white napkins were .25 for the set
