Countdown To Christmas 2020-Day 22-A Pyrex Salvation Army Find

Hello vintage lovers!! As you can see my countdown to Christmas did not go as planned. I had hoped to get a few more posts up but things happened and there is always next year (will be saving all my christmas posts till december then I will have them ready to go). So thought I would check in since we are only 3 days away from Christmas. I did find this gem at salvation army a couple weeks ago (not Christmas but still fits in with my decor).
I paid 4.99 for this and it was in need of a good cleaning, I tried to take a before pic but did not do a good job of showing how dirty it was. I used dawn powerwash and let it set for about an hour then "scrubbed" it with a sponge and it came out so nice and clean. There are some metal marks on the outside but they are not really noticable unless up close. I was happy with how clean it came and the price was not bad especially since I can not find pyrex in my area very easily or often, so I am pretty happy when I find it!

Countdown To Christmas 2020-Day 8-My Additions To My Corsage Collection

Last year I decided to start a collection of vintage Christmas corsages (like I need anything else to collect). I made a post with the ones I found at that time, now I have a few more to add to the collection. I got most of these recently and paid .25-.50 a piece for them. I really like to find them in boxes cause that is easy to display but I will take them anyway I find them. My favs are the ones with real mercury glass beads, I love them but the ones that have deer on them are cute too! I got lucky finding most of these anytime I find one I get excited!

Countdown To Christmas 2020-Day 7-My Kitchen Decor!!

Hello vintage lovers!! We are on day 7 of the countdown to Christmas, I can't believe how quickly time is flying. Christmas will be here before we know it! Today's post is going to be about my vintage kitchen decor. I decided to use my jadeite dishes this year to bring out the beautiful greens and I am so happy I did! It looks so beautiful. My hutch is mostly vintage jadeite pieces but my table is all new pioneer woman pieces. Of course I had to put fairly lights in it too, I am obsessed with those lights this year, they make it look so lovely especially at night. I always try to switch it up every year for a little something different and I love it so much this year!

Countdown To Christmas 2020-Day 6-A Collective Haul

Hello vintage lovers!! As you can see, my countdown to Christmas isn't going too well. As usual things have gotten a bit hectic but I am pushing on and trying to get a few post up before Christmas. This is a collective haul that has been piling up for the past month. All of the items came from Salvation Army they were very late getting Christmas items out this year.
In the first pic is a package of bows and ribbon that was .50, a plastic tree topper that was .25, two paper and mercury glass tree ornaments that was .25, colored jingle bells that was .25 and assorted ornaments that was .25 each or 2 for .25.  In the last pic are some cute lefton elf candle huggers and an unmarked elf figure that was .50 a piece and I think are so cute (sorry I about the pic, this is why I do not post more because I got a chrombook and it is not going will I can't figure out how to use it at all) ! I haven't been picking up alot of Christmas items because I have so many I need to calm it down but also there has not been a lot for me to find.

Countdown To Christmas 2020... Day 1... Goodwill Find.... 1980s Avon Nativity...

Hello vintage lovers!! It is day 1 of our countdown to Christmas for 2020, I thought even though this set isn't super vintage it is almost 40 years old, so thought I would share it here. My grandmother had this nativity when I was a little girl, my uncle bought her the whole set as each piece come out. She loved this set and when I got to be a teenager, her church would ask to use it in their foyer for the month of december, she was really proud of that.
I found all of these pieces at my local goodwill in bags (I hate when they bag up breakables) with other stuff for 2.99 a bag. I had to buy 3 bags to get all the pieces seen here (that was all the pieces they had I know there are more and I am on the hunt for them). I was really happy to find this set for under $10, most sets with this many pieces sells for atleast $30 with shipping online. I do hope to find the rest of the set but an happy to have what I have. It really is a beautiful set, of course when I was younger I didn't like it cause it wasn't colorful but now I have a better appreciation for how lovely the and simple the set is. Plus this set reminds me of my grandma and that makes it super special!
