Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 05... Boxed Decor for Display...

Hello vintage lovers!! I can not believe there is only 5 days till Christmas and I still have so much to do! This time of year goes by way too fast I never fell like I have enough time to enjoy it or get everything done. This is the last post on my awesomely amazing salvation army finds from the other day. This is the boxed decor items, I have talked about loving the box art on vintage items and Christmas is no exception. Actually I probably love Christmas the most, the art is so pretty. Of course if I keep buying it there will be nowhere to display it. Like I said in previous posts everything was 50% off, it was unbelievable prices.
First was the box of angel hair (fiber glass strands of itchy death, I know not to touch this but I figured in the box it was ok and the box does say.... non-irritating so... maybe that should tip me off it is ok 🤦‍♀️) it was .39. I loved that gift tag box and it did have some tags in it of course I LOVE the Santa one the most, this was only .29 (the Santa tag was well worth that). I have been talking about wanting to find some corsages, ask and ye shall receive, this beauty was only .39 and it is in pristine condition in the box!
I was super excited to find all these items, so excited I may go back at the end of the week to see if anything has been added cause once my kids get out of school I won't be able to get back in till after the new year. They pack all of the Christmas up (or maybe throw it away I am not sure, hope not) and store it (hopefully) till around July then they start putting it out again. I can not believe another Christmas has come and gone. I hope to find more amazing items in the year to come but do need to ever more selective cause my goodness I have alot!

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 06... Felt Stocking Kits...

Hello vintage lovers!! This is the second installment of my amazing salvation army haul from yesterday! I found all 3 of these felt stocking kits for only... .29 a piece!!! That is an amazing deal. I hope to make these at some point but I was not going to leave them at the store. Of course I didn't know that they were 50% off either so that made it even better. I think my favorite is the jack in the box one, it is supposed to be a no sew kit but I think the glue maybe dried up by now. Now I have more stockings for the collection, cause of course I have a collection started already 😉

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 07... Felt Santa Card Holder...

Hello vintage lovers!! Of course I missed a week of the countdown but at least I am going to get through the last week (I hope). Today I went to the salvation army and scored big!! I am doing three different posts of my finds! I found some awesome vintage Christmas items AND they were 50% off!! Most of the items I had never seen before and I go in at least once a week.
This post is going to be about this felt Christmas card holder I found. He is in really good condition and I have been on the look out for these guys. I also found his buddy the pinecone elf in a box, he is missing his feet and stand so she gave him to me with the card holder. Other than his missing feet and base he seems to be in good condition, his coloring is great and his tree looks good. The Santa card holder is in good condition too, he has some age staining but has good coloring. I had no idea that the Christmas items were 50% off so when she rang them up I was so surprised. These two guys rang up for only .39!!!!

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 15... Added To My Kitchen Decor

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 15 in our countdown to Christmas. A couple days ago I decided to add to some of my kitchen decor, I put some items on my wooden shelf and my vintage coca cola wooden box I have nailed up on my wall as a shelf. A day or two after that I decided to do the top of my microwave too and used some more of my jadeite pieces. I love how it all turned out and now basically my whole kitchen is in the Christmas spirit! During all of this decorating I realized I have a thing for Santa decor but it is so cute, they don't make decor like this anymore. If you can believe it I do have a few more items that did not get used but ALL of my favorite pieces and things I wanted to use got a place this year. I actually have not got to decorate this much in about 4 years, but I do know that next year I need to start at the beginning of November so I can enjoy them longer.

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 16... Our Tree

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 16 in our countdown to Christmas (I missed a day or two but that is ok it is busy this time of year). Today we are going to take a look at our Christmas tree, I love my tree every year. I used to do theme trees before I had kids now it is a mish mash of handmade by the kids ornaments, hallmark yearly ornaments and vintage ornaments. The tree is a newer tree, it has led lights and flashes from white to color but I still love it. Not sure if you can tell but it is a pretty tall tree so I have to use a step ladder to decorate it (not a fan of ladders). I was super excited to use an angel tree topper this year, She looks so pretty, she was purchased at an estate sale last summer for maybe .50. I really had to climb to get her up there....
I took pics of my favorite vintage ornaments on the tree this year but I will say my most prized and loved ornaments are the mercury glass birds that belonged to my grandma. She put them on her tree every year and since I inherited them that is what I do too. For being as old and used as they have been they are in such good shape. I also added a few "new" to me ornaments this year, the ones I am most excited about are the pixies riding the swans (my oldest says they look like dogs on clouds 😒). I have enough ornaments to decorate 10 trees but I have to say the ones that bring my happy memories are the ones I use every year and love so much!

Countdown To Christmas... Day 17... My Deer Collection

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 17 in our countdown to Christmas. Today I am going to show you my collection of celluloid deer. I love vintage reindeer as you can probably tell. I have pieced together my sets from yard sales, thrift stores and antique malls. I have not paid more than $1 for any of my deer, and I will never not pick them up when I see them (I have 9 of the reindeer in the top corner of the first pic I just found 2 for .59 and .29 I can not leave them on the shelf). They make the perfect addition to any Christmas display you have. I have added pics of most of my displays, they are just too cute!

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 20... Livingroom Curio Cabinet

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 20 in our countdown to Christmas! It is a special day too cause I am doing my cabinet in the livingroom! This is one of my favorite things to decorate and I had a lot of new items to put in there this year. I put a lot of my ceramics, music boxes, elves, plush Santas and reindeer. The top has some older annalee, a made in italy nativity and boxes. It is mostly napco, lefton and joseph original ceramics, there are a few made in Japan only marked pieces. There is so much to look at please take your time and look closely at the pics. I love looking at this cabinet it makes me so happy. Every year it is different because I am always adding to my collection!

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 21... Salvation Army Find... Cute Candles

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 21 of our countdown to Christmas! Swung by salvation army and picked up these cuties! They were .99 a piece and oh so cute! They are marked with a made in Japan sticker, I'm thinking they are late 60's. I love the faces on them. Of course they were in pristine condition when I got them but of course I have to ruin everything. They fell out of my bag and got dings on both of their heads. They still display great, you can only see it from the back. I will put these with my gurleys, maybe next year they will get a spot in the decorations.

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 22... My Magnet Collection

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 22 of our countdown to Christmas. Today we are going to take a look at my Christmas magnet collection. The larger metal ones are made in Korea, I remember my grandma having the Santa face on her refrigerator when I was younger. Of course those are my favorites cause they remind me of my grandparent's house. Well maybe those aren't my favorite cause I do love the handmade Christmas stockings with the homespun snowmen in them. I got all of these at an estate sale years ago for next to nothing along with some pinecone elves and homespun snowmen. I love an instant collection! Of course I will keep adding to it when I find them but I don't have a lot of luck finding magnets.

Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 23... My Kitchen Decor

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is day 23 in our countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing my kitchen decor, I was so happy with how it all turned out. I decorated with my pioneer woman last year but this is the first year I have put my vintage Christmas with it. I also added my Jadeite I have been collecting this past year! That is why I love it so much, it came together so well and looks so nice. When I got the pioneer woman collection the main draw for me was the jadeite (or mint green) color. Red goes so well with that color too. I have a lot of my favorite vintage items mixed in. I found a way to display my aprons and I put one of my Santas in too! I just love it!
