The Thrill Of The Hunt...

Hello vintage lovers!! I haven't found a lot of good vintage finds the past few weeks. I am trying to be more selective of what I buy. I was bringing a lot of items into my house with no real purpose other than it was vintage. Also I will admit there hasn't been a lot of things I'm interested in anyways. There will always be the thrill of the hunt for me, I love finding an item that I have been searching for or that I think is amazing. Whether it be a piece of pyrex, jadeite or christmas decor it is an awesome feeling. Of course I get that thrill whenever I find anything that I think is cool 🤣
Since I am on a budget most of the time I can not afford to buy sets of items so I have been trying to hunt down certain pieces to complete my sets. I have pieced together two sets of pyrex so far and am very excited about that. I am working on a few sets of jadeite as well but those are a lot harder to find for a reasonable price. I will be doing a few posts on the sets that have been completed very soon. I live in a very small town/rural area so it is a little harder for me to find great items but I have done ok so far. I did have to finally break down and order a few things off line, which I am not happy about but if I wanted the pieces I had to make that decision.
When you buy off line it does take away from the thrill of the hunt but when you have been looking for items for over a year with no luck, sometimes you have to do it. I still have some good moments in the wild with my finds. Sorry this post is kind of all over the place and choppy my kids are home and the noise if off the charts LOL, can not hear myself think much less write a good blog... Hoping to get some stuff up soon, the kids are out of school again for a couple of days. They just went back two weeks ago and then there was some winter weather, now a holiday and parent teacher conference. They might as well not even go to school in January 🤷‍♀️
