Hello vintage lovers!! I am a 36 (soon to be 37) year old lover of all things vintage. I am actually a collector of a lot of things but vintage items are my passion. I especially love vintage Christmas. I also have a love of vintage Japan ceramic animals, little lady figures and well mostly anything that is vintage made in Japan. I love items from the 1950-1960's. At the moment I am really into vintage kitchen items and decor. I also love pioneer woman decor but I do think that is because she bases a lot of her items from vintage items. I am a goodwill, thrift store, yard sale scavenger. So it is easy to say I like a good deal lol. That is the only way I buy my items, when you live on a budget ebay and etsy are out of the question. That is where the thrifty in my name comes from!
I have been a collector for many years, got it from my grandmother she always loved her knick knacks around her house. She also frequented yard sale and thrift stores. I have a few of her items which are very precious to me. Even as a little girl I would go with my grandma and she would buy me vintage trinkets that I would put on a shelf in my room, most I still have today. I used to have a collection of vintage dolls but after having children I sold most of those and I do not know if I will ever get back into collecting them again. Only time will tell, I tend to change my mind a lot about my collections. Over the years I have had quite a few different collections like unicorns, sharpei's, pigs, winnie the pooh, beanie babies, jewelry, perfume, candles and if I tried to keep going this post would never end. One thing that has always been a constant is vintage has always been mixed in too even as a teen.
I also dabble in selling as well. I do not make a living off of it by any means but it does help me get items for my own collection that I really want. Since I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys it does help with my thrifting, I do not use our bank account at all to get these items only money I make. I only sell on ebay for now, I used to have a booth at a craft shop in my town but that has now closed. It helps others out as well who could be looking for the item I have that they need. I am a member on a few (like 20 hahaha) facebook vintage groups but I do not sell only there to look.
With this blog I hope to show you items that I have collected, things I find and things I sell. I am very excited about this and hope you are too! Come join me for a trip down memory lane!
