What's in the jar??? Sea shells??

Hello vintage lovers!! Came across this unusual "jar" in the salvation army not to long ago, it peeked my interest so as you can see it came home with me. It only cost .99 so I figured there was nothing to loss. I could tell it was mostly sea shells but there were a few figures in it as well. There are a lot of pretty shells, there is a nice size assortment too. The figures are vintage I do believe, one is made in england, one in hong kong the others are not marked. There was also a few rocks too but needless to say it was worth the money I spent on it. Going to keep the figures a few shells, give the rest back to the thrift store. It is a pretty neat collection that someone made, I like finding items like this cause they have a story you don't even know.
