My grandmother sent me an add for an estate sale this Saturday. She said in the paper it said there was the usual furniture, victorian decor and of course my weaknesses glassware (this could be pyrex, jadeite or just generic glass but you don't know till you get there). It also mentioned Christmas decor as well and you know how I feel about my vintage Christmas.... So I have decided to get there right as it opens up, I have never done that at a sale (cause usually my mom is with us and she does not care about estate sales so we go everywhere else first). That means I have to get myself and youngest up and ready to leave the house by 730 so I can drop him off with my dad, pick up my grandmother and get to that darn sale!
I am doing this to test my theory that maybe we just show up too late to these sales to find the good stuff. Or maybe there is no good stuff but I want to know for sure, dang it. I am a bit nervous because there will probably be a lot of people there and I am not good with crowds. Plus some old ladies can be vicious, am I ready to knock a granny over to get some pyrex or some costume jewelry??? I guess we are going to find out, I'll have to let you know how it goes. If I don't post anything else on the blog you know I didn't make it out alive......
