Countdown To Christmas 2019... Day 25... My Santa Doll Collection...

Hello vintage lovers!! Today is the first day of our countdown to Christmas, I can't promise I will post everyday but I am going to try (when you have to youngin's with special needs you never know what the day will bring). I wanted to start my first post out with a bang and talk about possibly my favorite part of my Christmas collection.... Who am I kidding all of my collection is my favorite. But I do love these guys a lot, I think these dolls are so cute.
First one I am going to talk about is my Rushton Coca Cola Santa. He belonged to my grandmother, I inherited him when she passed a few years ago. I loved him as a kid, I carried him around like a doll baby. My grandmother wasn't too happy about that and now I can understand why, but she let me do it anyways. He is in pretty good condition considering his age and the fact I played with him so much. He is missing his coke bottle but that is ok, I love him anyways. His face is one of my favorites!
Next we are going to talk about the Knicerbocker Baby Santa doll. This was the first Santa doll I found in the wild. He was found at goodwill for 1.99!! I could not resist his cute little face but I do wish they would have made his hair white too or made his beard/mustache blond. This doll is marked 1958 on his tag and he is the rarer version in the standing position with a belt and buttons on his suit, the more common version is sitting down and has on a sleeper outfit. Mine is a little on the dingy side but is still oh so cute and his face paint is so vibrant with no scuffs!
This next guy does not have a maker that I have been able to find, he is not marked anywhere and the only thing I can find online is him being called Jolly Santa. I liked him a lot his face is so unique, he has rubber mitten hands and rubber boots. I actually bought him at a flea market and paid $10 (which is the most I have ever paid for one of these dolls). I just had to have him the face got me. He is in pretty good condition too, of course he is dingy but that is expected with age.
Next we have the newest edition to the collection, this is the one I got back a couple of weeks ago from the goodwill and only paid 2.99 for. Again he has no maker to be found just marked hong kong on his boots and a tag on his body. He is in good shape just a little dirt in the beard. If you want to see more about him I have a whole post dedicated to him from November.
The next one is a little worse for the wear, he is probably the one in the worst condition and still not too bad. I believe he is a B J Toys, My Toy Santa. I think he is missing his coat but not sure there may have been ones that did not come with a jacket. I found him at goodwill a couple years ago, he was only .99 and was in the toy section (probably scared some kids away for sure). I couldn't leave the poor guy there, he has a cute face and for the price he needed to come live with me.
The last guy looks like he was made by the same company as my third guy. He has the same cute face but he is completely plush (no rubber hands or boots) but his face paint has dulled. I found this guy at my local goodwill for .99!! Again he was in the toy section, I have no idea why they keep putting them in the kids toys. Well I guess like I said before it was a toy at one time. I have him in my kitchen this year to add some cheer, if you want to see that look for my kitchen decor post!
That is the end of my Santa collection, I am sure there are people that have bigger collections and some that have smaller. There are people who have a collection of pristine in mint condition guys which mine are not but I am happy to have the ones I do and to have found them all at such great prices. It really is the thrill of the hunt sometimes to be able to own something you love and not break the bank doing it. Not sure what all will be in my countdown but I hope you enjoy the next 25 days and my Santa collection!
