Hello vintage lovers!! How have you been since quarentine started? I have been going crazy not being able to go to the thrift stores. I won't know what to do when I get to go back, there will be so much to look at and I am trying to be a good girl and not buy a lot. Guess we will have to cross that bridge when we get there. Anyways.... I thought it would be fun to see how many items I have gotten off my wish lists I made in 2018 on this blog. Below are the lists from both blogs I will mark what I have gotten with an *.
-my absolute holy grail item is a jadeite hen on a nest. I have been looking for one of those for years.*I this one is a toss up because I did find one but it is reproduction but I guess that's better than nothing.*
-speaking of jadeite I also want a
- mixing bowl *Check from yard sale $1!! Also got a few more from antique stores prices $15-$30*
-measuring cups*Another reproduction items $10 from lakeside collections*
-batter bowl*Check from ebay $25*
-shakers (salt, sugar, pepper, etc)*Half check I got the pepper (antique store $11) and the salt (ebay $20) haven't been luck enough to find the others yet.
So pretty much if it is jadeite I want it!
*I will say that I have purchased quit a few vintage and reproductions jadeite pieces in the past couple of years*
-lady head vase (trying years to find also) *Check for this one! I found my first lady this past summer at goodwill for 1.99 she is a Christmas one but I love her!*
-pyrex primary color mixing bowl set (just need yellow and green, already have blue and red)*Check this off my list as well I finally broke down and bought the yellow and green off of mercari for $40 so now I have a complete set that cost me $45.*
-pyrex striped mixing bowl set*Have not been lucky to find this set yet but I'll keep trying.*
-fruit shaped jam/jelly jars *Check for this too! I found the strawberry (estate sale .50) and the painted apple (antique store $3).*
-lady head vases*Ummmm.... obviously I can't proof read worth and darn cause this was just 3 items up. Good lord... Guess I really want those lady heads....
This is the second blog post I wrote about a wish list. It was from October 2018. There isn't much on this one but we will take a look to see what we have found. Not sure why I wrote this post but at the time I felt it needed to be done. Something else I don't understand is why I haven't wrote any new lists in 2 years...... Oh well moving on....
-The elusive hazel atlas pineapple jam jar*Yeah right I am never gonna find this piece but I can keep wishing!*
-The mini bowls to the pyrex hostess set in red*That is a nope on this one too but I will say I'm not really looking for this anymore. I think it peaked my interest at the time cause I had found the big bowl but now I am over that set.*
-Hen on nests (any size color or animal)*Ok this another one that is a not sure, I have found some milk glass ones at yard sales but not other animals. All you can do is keep looking.
-Jadeite juicer *Finally a check, got this off ebay for $20*
-butterprint pyrex*A sorta check, found a 404 cinderella bowl for $25 at an antique store but that is all for now*
-kitchen tools *Another one that I am not sure why?? Do you ever do that?? At some point you want something only to not later*.
-dooney purses (from early 80s/late 70s)*Check! I have found at least 2 so far one at goodwill, oh actually both at goodwill for $3 a piece.*
-pyrex butter dishes *Check to this too, I have found 2 spring blossom (one at salvation army 2.89 and one at Goodwill for $2 I can't leave them when I see them and a butterfly gold for 1.99 (I think) at goodwill*,
Well that is the end of my lists from 2018, think I did pretty good. Checked most of the items off and changed my mind on a few (that is a good thing cause I like way too much stuff as it is). I am sure that all of these items have a post dedicated to them on my blog if you want to look them up to get better details. Also sometimes I tell pretty good stories you might enjoy in my posts. This has made me want to set down and do a new wish list post, guess I need to because pretty much everything was checked off anyways. Take care and be safe out there!
