Hello vintage lovers!! I posted a few weeks ago about going up to my granparent's homeplace, I explained exactly why we call it a homeplace in that post. When we went up there to get the marbles I also got a few of my grandmother's kitchen items, I had no idea she even had these, never saw them when I was a kid. There was a lot of items that I did not remember seeing as a kid but like I have mentioned before, my grandmother was a hoarder so she kept everything. That stuff was probably packed away long before I was ever born, cause lord knows she would never throw it away...
Something you may not know is I love the Enesco prayer lady collection, I have wanted this collection for about 10 years now. I mainly wanted the blue set but beggers can't be choosers you know. I have picked up a few pieces (I think at least one is in a post on here) at thrift stores. You can only imagine my excitement when I found these ladies in a box of stuff. One has been repaired but pretty much all the pieces I own have a repair to them (again back to the beggars can't be choosers thing). I also picked up this rooster, his head is a shaker and his body is a creamer pitcher. She also had the hen to match him that her head is a shaker and her body is the sugar jar. She had a very big crack repaired so I left her there it was too noticable for me to display. I was super happy with these couple of items I brought back home plus it makes it even more special that these belonged to my grandmother. I told my dad that I should just stop going thrifting and just go look through my grandparent's house!
