Hello vintage lovers!! Or should I say Happy First Of October, it is now officially as the kids call it these days the beginning of spooky season! I am going to attempt to do blogoween (posts up till halloween but they won't all be halloween posts). I do not have a lot of vintage Halloween decor items but I do have a few blow molds interestingly enough I only have two Christmas blow molds but 5 (I say 5 because I know there is another one somewhere but that will be later in the post). Guess smaller Halloween blow molds are easier to find then Christmas ones.
On the first shelf is the blinky flashlight (had two of these too but of course can only find one, wish I could be more organized) he was a goodwill find for .99. Also on that shelf is a late 60s cat with pumpkin this one was purchased at goodwill too for 1.99. The one on the middle shelf is a pumpkin on a black pedestal, I thought he came with a hat or something but in all the pics I found of him this is how he looked, he was a goodwill find as well for 1.99 also from the 60s. The last shelf is my pumpkin man (my favorite) that I got at a yard sale for .75 and the early 60s late 50s black cat with pumpkin that says trick on one side and treat on the other also a yard sale find but this one was $2.
It took me years to find all of these blow molds, they aren't easy to find but vintage Halloween of any kind is hard to find. Now let's get into the story of my missing blow mold. Okay, I know for a fact I have a hay with pumpkin on top wearing a witch hat. It was one of the first blow molds I purchased EVER so you know I would remember that!! I got it at a yard sale for $1 and was so excited!! But I can not find it anywhere and my husband says he does not know, so I am sad to lose it but what can you do?? At least I have these guys and hopefully over time my collection of vintage Halloween will grow like my Christmas but we shall see...
