Hello vintage lovers!! Long time no blog but of course the reason for that is because I have not been finding any vintage items that I absolutely need and really any vintage at all. I do have a back log of pyrex posts that I found over the summer that I have been procrastinating taking pics for. So be looking for those posts coming soon..... I hope....
Anyways.... On to my devastating story, that involves my bad luck as usual. Okay so first off I was in a bunch of groups on facebook, I say was because as of now I unjoined a lot of them cause I wasn't enjoying them anymore. But one page I liked was my local salvation army's page, they have a new manager and she has been posting pics of what they have which can be nice but also a let down. Over the weekend they posted pics and in the pics I saw a 3 piece set of the butterprint cinderella bowls, the 423 was missing and I have a couple 424 and one 421 so I really only needed the 422 but if the price was right I would have bought them all.
Well they are closed on sunday so when they opened monday I had planned to be there at 10 when they open. That would mean that my oldest would have to go with me and I felt bad cause he is virtual in school but I never find things like this around me so I was gonna do it. We drop his brother off at 815 then head home for him to start his work at 945 we head out the door and are at the store by 1002. I walk in to find the cashier at the case and I just knew, yep there was an older lady looking at the bowls. Well, great, and of course she bought them. My heart was broke and I felt so stupid for dragging my kid out for nothing I knew better, nothing ever works out in my favor like that.
So my son had found something soon as we walked in I paid for that and we left in defeat (well I was defeated he was pretty happy). I decided then and there I don't care how much I want something or if something comes up around me I am not doing that again. It was a waste of time and just aggrevating, I am sure that lady saw the post too and was thinking what I was thinking. Like I said before I really only needed the 422 so it would have been nice to get it. I thought well if you had been right at 1000 maybe you could have gotten there first and got the one you needed but I doubt 2 min would have helped. You win some and you lose some, maybe I will get lucky one day, but it is so frustrating especially to see it right in front of you but atleast my son got something he liked.
